The Story
Jim "Willy" Williquette
1956 – July 22, 2023 · Green Bay, Wisconsin
Willy was born and raised in Green Bay, the oldest of five, and married Teresa Bilotti in May 1984. He served 30 years on the Green Bay Fire Department, earning Firefighter of the Year on November 1, 1982, and finished his career as captain — a courageous firefighter, well respected by the entire department.
Retirement gave him 13 years of what he loved most: golfing, hunting, fishing, and time with family and countless friends. A member of the Brown County Golf Course men's club, Willy carded five holes in one and aced every par 3 on the course — a feat shared by only a handful of players in County history.
He was an outstanding athlete his entire life: all-conference baseball, basketball and football, all-metro in baseball and football, and a freshman walk-on at Nebraska football. After a four-year battle with melanocytoma, Willy passed on July 22, 2023, at age 67 — remembered as a stand-up, loyal man you could count on for anything.
The Willy Award carries that "Never Quit" attitude into every Brown County Amateur.
In his memory
In lieu of flowers, the family asked for donations to Brains Together for a Cure, which funds brain and spine tumor research.
A rare feat
A hole-in-one on every par 3
To our best knowledge, Willy is one of only four people known to have aced every par 3 on the course:
- Jim “Willy” Williquette
- Dick “Blade” Roeser
- Scott Lade
- Dave Koepke
Know of someone else who's done it? Let us know — we'd love to add them.
