Phil has been teeing it up in the Amateur for as long as he can remember — since he was 17. A couple of runner-up finishes keep him coming back, and his first hole-in-one on 17 in the mid-80s is still the memory that tops them all.

- Just trying to get by every day...

- Not sure I have a favorite hole on the course.
- Most challenging hole?
- 4 — keep the drive in play and hit the green, hopefully close to the hole.
- What would winning mean to you?
- It'd be the highlight of my golf year!
- Favorite Amateur memory?
- In the mid-80s, I got my first ace on 17!
