How many years have you played the Amateur?

1st place, 5th Flight.

How do you prepare?

Playing a lot of golf and spending a lot of time at the chipping green.

Favorite hole?

11 — something about this hole has always been appealing to my eye. It's the start of a fun stretch where you need to play sharp; big scores are easy to come by.

Most challenging hole?

18 — 2-iron off the tee hoping I find a piece of the tight landing zone and have a look at the green. Finishing each day with a chance to sink the ship on the last hole can get your knees knocking.

What would winning mean to you?

Winning again would be very rewarding. It's a grind out here — you have to keep a level head and stay hungry for 3 days straight. 'Show 'em the work you put in,' as a good friend once said.

Favorite Amateur memory?

Winning my flight last year with my good pal Christian on the bag — a great run with a photo finish. And all the friendships made on the course and on the patio, talking about the hero shots and the trouble we got ourselves into.
