Two decades of Amateurs, a 3rd in the 5th flight and a 5th in the 4th. Jason is still fighting the urge to flop a 64° wedge from 75 yards — and still says the best part is the patio afterward.

- How many years have you played the Amateur?
- 20-ish.
- Best finish?
- 3rd in the 5th flight and 5th in the 4th flight.
- How do you prepare?
- Trying to remember to minimize the damage when things go wrong, and resisting the urge to hit flop shots with my 64° wedge any time I'm within 70–75 yards of the pin.
- Favorite hole?
- #15 — because I'll get my first hole-in-one there someday.
- Most challenging hole?
- #13. Snap hook a 5 iron. Hope a tree knocks it down before it goes in the water. Either take a drop or punch out to the fairway and hope to 3-putt for a double.
- What would winning mean to you?
- I'd take the pro shop credit and retire with Jimmy O.
- Favorite Amateur memory?
- It's not about the golf — it's the time spent on the patio afterwards. There was a year I played in the 6th flight and couldn't break 10 on hole 10. Made for some great conversation and laughs at my expense.
