How many years have you played the Amateur?

2025 was my first year.

Best finish?

Last place (11th place has a better ring to it though!).

How do you prepare?

I play in the Brown County Men's Club on Thursdays and a few of the tournaments. I like to play County at least one other time each week and get in the lab on the chipping and putting greens to dial in the short game.

Favorite hole?

Hole 11 — The approach shot reminds me of something you would see watching the Masters with the massive downslope and beautiful viewpoint on the walk down to the heart of the back nine. Is fair to ask if Brown County GC is the Augusta of Northeast Wisconsin?

Most challenging hole?

Gee, a lot of directions I could go here, but I will say hole 9. To reach in two requires an excellent tee shot, needless to say I am often punching out and haven't found the 'ideal' lay up spot yet, I suppose. And then the shape of that green makes just about any two-putt give way to a big ol' sigh of relief.

What would winning mean to you?

It would be an honor! I am on the newer side of the Brown County GC scene, but I quickly learned what a special place this course is and how many awesome people are a part of this community and making this show happen. Especially in the legendary Jimmy O's last season. And who doesn't love a Cinderella story? Going from worst to first, as a former greenskeeper (at Village Green in high school) turned BCA flight champion!

Favorite Amateur memory?

Last year was my first BCA and I was on the struggle bus all weekend. I rallied a bit on the front nine Sunday, but then I channeled shades of Roy McAvoy and rinsed my tee shot into the creek on hole 12 — not once, not twice, but thrice! Rallied to make an 11 after that and was able to have some good laughs with my friend, Ryan, who caddied for me.
