How many years have you played the Amateur?

I've only missed a few years in the last 18 — let's go with 14.

Best finish?

Ha! I always play horrible. Never placed top 3.

How do you prepare?

Stocking up on golf balls.

Favorite hole?

Number 10. No matter how you finished the front 9, you have a good chance to start the back nine with a birdie.

Most challenging hole?

Number 9. I've hooked my tee shot into the crap on the left more times than I care to count. It's already a hard hole — it's even harder when you're hitting your 3rd shot from behind the trees and have to punch out to 195.

What would winning mean to you?

I think I would retire. But actually, to win the Am in my dad's last year would be pretty special. He taught my brother and I the game and it's been such a big part of our life. Winning wouldn't change my excitement to play in it each year — but it might increase the amount of shit I talk when I make it back.

Favorite Amateur memory?

Hanging out on the patio after the round watching the scores roll in. I also love getting paired up with guys I used to check in at the pro shop when I was little — full-circle moments.
